“All this I created for you, My spouse; and know that all this beauty is nothing compared to what I have prepared for you in eternity” (Diary, 158) – heard St. Faustina when she admired the beauty of the lake at Kiekrz. Holiday time favors meditation and reflection on our lives. It is also a time when we set new goals for ourselves and carry out a review of our lives. It is worth inviting God to it so that we can look together in the future.
How to do it? There are certainly many ways. But perhaps the most effective will be the one in which we will approach his Word and start listening with greater intensity than we can do during the year. Retreat centers offer us various forms of spiritual exercises. We can choose the ones that will suit us best. However, if our duties do not allow us to be separated for longer, let us remember that God is everywhere and allows himself to be known through the works he created. As St. Faustina assures: “The very inner depths of My being are filled to overflowing with mercy, and it is being poured out upon all I have created” (Diary, 1784).
